Emergency Hospital Services

When patients come to us critically ill or with life-threatening emergencies during regular clinic hours, they get the immediate attention they need.  If your pet needs emergency care, a phone call to us at 530-622-8295 is best so we can be prepared when you arrive, facilitating quicker medical attention to our patient.

Please read our Hospital Policy, which includes protocol for appointments, patient arrival, payment, and prescriptions.

 

Our Hours:

Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon
Sunday: Closed

Your pet may be in danger and need immediate medical care if he or she has one or more of the following:
• Penetrating Wounds and Lacerations
• Bloated or Enlarged Stomach Area
• Accident Trauma or Broken Bones
• Vomiting or Diarrhea with Blood
• Inability to Deliver Puppies or Kittens
• Excessive Bleeding (anywhere)
• Inability to Urinate or Defecate
• Difficulty Breathing or Blue Tongue
• Loss of Balance or an Inability to Stand
• Ingestion of Foreign Objects or Substances

 

In such circumstances, call us at (530) 622-8295 or the after-hours emergency clinic above, or come in to Missouri Flat Pet Clinic during our regular business hours.

TIP: Add our phone number and the after-hours emergency clinics’ numbers to your cell phone. Be prepared.

If your pet has swallowed a toxic substance or medication, call us immediately. If it happens when we are closed, call an emergency clinic or call Animal Poison Control at 1-888-426-4435 for
the most current information and immediate assistance.  The cost of their service is $65.
